ARTISTIC MISSION & STATEMENT

As a Cuban-American artist in America , I am constantly asking myself: what does it mean to create art right now, in this moment? This mission statement is a living document and witness to the work I create.

• I will confront and dismantle oppressive systems and beliefs through my art. 

• I will lead with "human first" approach, it is my practice to create space for all artists to show up as their full, authentic selves.

• I will create, cultivate, and champion new plays and musicals by Latinx and BIPOC artists.

• I will create work that is grounded in emotional truths and has the power to evoke empathy. 

• I will create theatre which encourages the audience to engage in civic discourse with issues confronting our society today.
